Why Not?

The boys from Headfloss are working on new songs and preparing for our next show - so we met tonight for a few beers before the noise - and who happened to be at Why Not - no other than Mr. Kitchen Confidential/No Reservations - Anthony Bourdain - he and his crew must have been shooting somewhere in the area - they were low key, enjoying the 9th Avenue sights and minding their business...with T smoking as he seems to do...and after a few drinks - poof - they disappeared...

Sick and Tired

Damn, I'm tired of being sick!! That's all I'm going to say about it...

So, there's nothing better to break a blogging update funk than anour own government doing something stupid!!

It looks like in an attempt to save energy, we are now setting our clock forward 3 weeks earlier than usual, but no one took into consideration the havoc this could cause to computers and devices that were programmed before this decision was made.

Nice move boys!

Floss Fashions for Spring

Thrashers, Playoffs?

"Atlanta's newcomers had a huge impact in the Thrashers' 3-2 win over the Bruins on Monday night as Alexei Zhitnik earned an assist on Scott Mellanby''s goal and recently acquired Eric Belanger picked up a goal and assisted on Marian Hossa's game-winner. Slava Kozlov added two assists, while Boston-area native Keith Tkachuk won 10 of his 14 faceoffs for Atlanta. With the win the Thrashers move within one point of Southeast Division-leading Tampa Bay."

Not that I ever would stray, but after seeing this, there is not a chance in hell...

Get LOST!

I needed a few days to process my feelings towards the last few episodes on LOST - so here goes...

Besides the incredibly awful idea of adding Bai Ling to the cast - one episode is too many - and the unfufilled promises of answering questions viewers have been dying to know...the show has started it's quick slide into the abyss of where good shows have gone bad. It's just fucking awful. J.J. Abrams should bury his head in the Hawaiian sand and hope that there will still be viewers left at seasons end.

Last week's episode saw an all-time low viewership - almost half the average of last season and the numbers are still falling. For god's sake - Rules of Engagement snagged more viewers...

I, once a devoted, even crazed LOST fan, will no longer run home and enjoy "taco night" with friends on Thursdays. The only episodes I might catch are if I'm sick, stuck on the couch, and the remote is just to heavy to change the channel...

MUST SEE MOVIES

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge fan of the filmmaker Pedro Almodovar - the man is truly a genius. After seeing Volver this weekend, I am once again blown away by the beauty and passion the man puts on film. No one else directing today can touch what he does. Outside of the noteworthy Oscar buzz talking up this movie, I highly recommend this film to any and all.
